Biography for Ms. McConnell

Melissa joined TJCA in 2025. She is a third-grade teacher.

She earned a:

• Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix

Melissa has 17 years of teaching experience in grades 2 through 5. She enjoys working with students at every grade level.

Outside of school, Melissa is a proud mom to her 16-year-old son, Zack, and three pets: two cats named Smudge and Biscuit, and a dog named Kipper. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending church, hiking, creating arts and crafts, decorating, and shopping for bargains. Melissa also enjoys watching true crime shows, eating dark chocolate, drinking Coke Zero, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.
