AVONDALE — The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Sally Melton has been selected as the next Grammar School Assistant Principal. In addition to this role, Melton will also serve as the Title I Coordinator and the Grammar School MTSS Co-Coordinator.
Melton has been a part of the TJCA community since 2011. Over the past 10 years, Melton has served in multiple roles. After teaching 6th-grade language arts for one year, Melton spent the next nine years teaching second grade. She served as the Curriculum Coordinator this past school year.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Limestone College. She continued her education by earning a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.
